Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Your photos never leave your device.
Why are my iPhone photos in HEIC format?
Apple uses HEIC because it stores the same quality at roughly half the file size of JPG. Many websites, apps and Windows PCs still expect JPG, which is why conversion is often needed.
Does converting HEIC to JPG lose quality?
JPG is a lossy format, but at the default 90% quality setting the difference is not visible for normal use. Raise the slider to 100% for maximum fidelity.
Can I convert multiple files at once?
Yes. Select or drop as many HEIC files as you like; each is converted in your browser and downloadable individually or all at once.
