Privacy Policy (mobile app)
Last updated: 27 August 2026
Redsprint (`we`, `us`, `our`) publishes the Picto.Video app. This Privacy Policy explains what the App collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the iOS app; the website at picto.video has its own policy.
1. What We Collect
- Content you provide: photos you choose to animate and the text prompts you enter. Photos added to a memorial tribute stay on your device and are never uploaded.
- Account identifiers: an anonymous account id created by Firebase Authentication when you first open the App. If you sign in with Apple or Google, the email address and name that provider shares with us.
- Purchase data: the App Store product you bought, the transaction identifier and the subscription status, received from Apple. We never see your card or billing details.
- Device and usage data: device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, screen size, a random installation id, and the actions you take in the App (screens opened, generations started, purchases). Your IP address is seen by our servers and hashed; it is not stored in clear.
- Feedback: anything you type into the feedback box, together with your support id.
The App does not access your contacts, location, microphone or camera. It reads only the photos you pick and writes finished videos to your photo library when you tap Save.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Generate videos from your photos and prompts
- Deliver the credits and subscription you bought and keep your balance in sync with the App Store
- Restore your videos and purchases when you sign in on another device
- Improve the App's performance, reliability and experience
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud and violations of our Terms of Use
- Answer your support requests
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your photos or generated videos to train AI models. We do not show third-party advertising in the App.
3. Analytics
The App sends usage events to our own servers and to KeenStats, a lightweight analytics service, so we can see which features are used and where people get stuck. These events carry the installation id and account id described above, never your photos or prompts. The App uses no advertising identifiers and no cross-app tracking, and it does not request App Tracking Transparency permission because it does not track you.
4. Third-Party Services
- Apple processes all purchases and subscriptions (Privacy Policy)
- Google Firebase provides authentication and sign-in (Privacy Policy)
- Fal.ai runs the AI models that animate your photos; photos you animate and your prompts are sent to Fal.ai for processing (Privacy Policy)
- Cloudflare hosts our website and protects our servers (Privacy Policy)
- KeenStats provides usage analytics (Privacy Policy)
Each service processes data under its own privacy policy.
5. Data Retention
- Uploaded photos: deleted from our servers within 24 hours of processing. Photos sent to Fal.ai are subject to Fal.ai's retention policy.
- Generated videos: kept on our servers for a limited period so they can be restored to your devices, then deleted. Copies you save to your photo library are under your control.
- Tribute photos and films: stored only on your device, inside the App's own folder, until you delete them or uninstall the App.
- Account data: kept while your account exists. Deleting your account removes it.
- Purchase records: kept by Apple under its rules; we keep the transaction identifiers needed to honour your credits.
- Usage events: contain no personal information beyond the random installation id and account id, and are kept for as long as we need them to run and improve the service.
6. Your Rights
If you are in the EEA or the UK you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict how we process it. If you are a California resident you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion and opt out of any sale (we do not sell your data).
You can delete your account and its data from the Account screen in the App. For any other request, contact support@picto.video; we respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. International Data Transfers
Our servers and service providers operate in various countries, including the United States and the European Union. When your data leaves your jurisdiction we rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
Data travels between the App and our servers over HTTPS. Purchases go through Apple's payment system. Photos on your device are stored inside the App's private container. No method of transmission over the Internet is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a revised `Last updated` date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
